Saudi low-cost carrier flynas will launch twice-weekly nonstop flights between Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah (MED) and Brussels Airport in Zaventem (BRU) from October 5, 2026, as reported by Aviation Week. According to Wego Travel Blog, the service will operate as flights XY961 outbound and XY962 on the return, initially scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays.

The Madinah-Brussels route is flynas's second nonstop link to Belgium. The carrier launched Jeddah-Brussels service in December 2023, making Brussels one of the few European cities served from multiple flynas bases. The Madinah service operates from Brussels Airport in Zaventem, Belgium's main international gateway, rather than the smaller Brussels South Charleroi Airport favored by some other low-cost carriers.

flynas described the new route as part of its strategy to connect Saudi Arabia with more international destinations and to support the country's Vision 2030 objectives for international connectivity and tourism growth. Madinah is a significant origin point for the carrier given its role as one of Islam's holiest cities and a major Umrah pilgrimage destination. The new Brussels link offers European travelers, including Umrah pilgrims based in Belgium and the broader Schengen area, a direct connection to the holy city.

flynas serves more than 60 international destinations and has been expanding its European network steadily, with the Madinah-Brussels addition reflecting growing demand for routes connecting Gulf cities directly with Belgian passengers.
