Saudi low-cost carrier flyadeal launched twice-weekly nonstop service between Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport (MED) in Madinah and Jinnah International Airport (KHI) in Karachi on September 6, 2026, according to Aviation Week's Routes & Networks column and independent trade publication TTN Worldwide. AeroRoutes had flagged the route filing on August 21, 2026.
The service operates with Airbus A320neo aircraft and runs twice per week. Departure from Madinah is scheduled at 11:50 PM with arrival in Karachi at 6:00 AM, per schedule data reported by aviation sources. The new route brings flyadeal's total Pakistan network to seven routes, making Madinah the third Saudi city it serves from Karachi, alongside Jeddah and Riyadh.
Flyadeal COO Abdulaziz Bahri said the pace of expansion "underscores the depth of the economic, cultural and people-to-people ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan," noting that the carrier started with two Pakistan routes just one year earlier, per Aviation Week.
The carrier, a wholly owned subsidiary of Saudia (Saudi Arabian Airlines), has positioned Madinah as an increasingly important operational hub alongside its core network centred on Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam. Madinah's significance as a pilgrimage destination for Pakistan's large Muslim population — one of the world's largest — makes the new route a natural fit, and the service complements flyadeal's existing Umrah-focused operations to the Holy City from other international markets.
