Saudi Arabia's flynas will launch direct flights between King Khalid International Airport (RUH) in Riyadh and Aleppo International Airport (ALP) from August 1, 2026, the airline announced July 12, per TTN World. The twice-weekly service makes Aleppo the carrier's second Syrian destination alongside Damascus.

Flights will operate every Saturday and Wednesday. The outbound service departs Riyadh at 12:00 and arrives Aleppo at 14:30; the return departs Aleppo at 15:30 and arrives Riyadh at 18:10, for a flight time of approximately two and a half hours each way. Introductory one-way fares start at SAR 1,110 (approximately USD 296) from Riyadh and SAR 823 (approximately USD 219) from Aleppo, according to Connecting Travel.

flynas currently operates 24 weekly flights to Damascus from three Saudi bases — 14 from Riyadh, 7 from Jeddah, and 3 from Dammam — and has separately signed an agreement to establish a joint-venture airline in Syria with domestic operations planned for Q4 2026. The Riyadh–Aleppo launch supports Saudi Vision 2030's aviation connectivity targets.

The August 1 start adds to a fast-expanding schedule of Gulf routes to Aleppo. As of late July 2026, carriers operating to Aleppo include flydubai (daily from Dubai, launched July 20), Air Arabia Sharjah (daily from July 4), Air Arabia Abu Dhabi (3x weekly from July 7), and Jazeera Airways (2x weekly from Kuwait City, from June 25), per Wego Travel Blog.
