Brussels Airlines will launch scheduled service between Brussels Airport (BRU) and Harstad/Narvik Airport, Evenes (EVE) in northern Norway on February 6, 2027. The seasonal route will operate once weekly on Saturdays through March 6, 2027, using Airbus A320neo aircraft, according to the airline's official press release and schedule data from AeroRoutes.
Brussels Airlines announced the route on August 17, 2026, as part of a simultaneous three-destination Arctic expansion for winter 2026-27. The airline has previously flown to Evenes in partnership with tour operators on charter flights; the new scheduled service makes it accessible to independent travelers booking directly without a package, the carrier said.
Evenes Airport serves the Harstad and Narvik area of Nordland, northern Norway, and acts as a gateway to the Lofoten and Vesterålen archipelagos. The region attracts visitors for dramatic fjord scenery, traditional fishing villages, hiking and Northern Lights sightings during the winter months, according to AeroTime. The limited one-day-a-week schedule reflects the nascent character of independent leisure demand to the destination.
The Evenes service is the smallest of the three Arctic routes Brussels Airlines is launching this winter, alongside Kittilä (three times weekly from December 10) and Kemi (up to twice weekly from December 25) in Finland. Together, the three additions form part of Brussels Airlines' strategy to build a stronger winter leisure revenue base and reduce its seasonal dependence on summer flying, per Aviation Direct.
