Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced on September 25, 2026 that it will launch brand-new nonstop service between Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai (BOM), with the inaugural flight on December 15, 2026. Unlike the simultaneous Delhi resumption, PAL has never previously operated nonstop Manila–Mumbai flights, making this an entirely new market for the carrier.
The route will operate four times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. PR646 departs Manila at 10:40 PM and arrives in Mumbai at 3:05 AM the following morning; the return PR647 departs Mumbai at 7:15 AM and arrives in Manila at 5:00 PM, per AeroRoutes.
PAL will deploy the Airbus A321neo in a 168-seat two-class configuration — 12 lie-flat Business Class and 156 Economy Class seats — on both India routes, according to Live From A Lounge.
Both India routes are subject to Indian government regulatory approval. BusinessMirror reported the announcement on September 26, noting PAL's intent to give Indian travelers a nonstop Manila option with onward connections across the Philippines, Asia, Australia, and North America. The Mumbai and Delhi launches are timed to coincide with the start of the Northern Winter 2026–27 IATA schedule on October 26.
