Juneyao Airlines has launched twice-weekly scheduled service between Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) and Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) in Manila from September 2, 2026. AeroRoutes reported the route filing on August 18, 2026, citing schedule data filed by the carrier.
Flights operate on Airbus A320neo aircraft. Outbound flight HO1565 departs Shanghai at 22:20 and arrives in Manila at 02:10 the following morning; return flight HO1566 departs Manila at 03:10 and arrives in Shanghai at 06:35, according to AeroRoutes. Service will increase to five flights weekly from October 17, 2026. During the northern winter peak period of December 18 through January 9, 2027, the carrier will upgrade to Airbus A321neo aircraft.
Juneyao Airlines is a Star Alliance member and one of China's largest private carriers, operating primarily from its Shanghai Pudong hub. Manila is a key market on the China-Philippines corridor, driven by strong leisure travel, business, and overseas Filipino worker flows.
The September 2 launch marks the start of regular ticketed scheduled service. The carrier plans a progressive frequency ramp-up, positioning the route as a year-round connection rather than a seasonal addition. Juneyao competes on the route alongside Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific, which also operate Shanghai-Manila services.
