Air India announced on August 1, 2026 the launch of seasonal nonstop flights between Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) for the 2026-27 northern winter season. The route operates three times weekly on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from October 25, 2026 through March 26, 2027, per Times of India.

Flights use Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Outbound Flight AI193 departs Mumbai at 04:00 local time and arrives Toronto at 10:00 (flight time: 16 hours 30 minutes). Return Flight AI192 departs Toronto at 12:30 and arrives Mumbai the following day (flight time: 15 hours 10 minutes), per Air India's official schedule. Aviation Week noted Air India will be the only carrier offering nonstop service on this route.

Air India Chief Commercial Officer Nipun Aggarwal said Canada is one of the airline's most important markets due to strong people-to-people ties, and that the new Mumbai-Toronto service is designed to meet heightened demand during India's festive season and the holiday travel period, per Times of India. During winter 2026-27, Air India will operate 20 weekly India-Canada flights in total: 10 on Delhi-Toronto, 3 on Mumbai-Toronto, and 7 on Delhi-Vancouver, per the carrier's official account.
