Air Canada will launch nonstop service between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and La Aurora International Airport (GUA) in Guatemala City in early December 2026, becoming the only airline with nonstop service between Canada and Guatemala City. Flights operate once weekly on Thursdays, using Airbus A330-300 aircraft with Air Canada Signature, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins (Air Canada).
The December 2026 launch is seasonal. Air Canada has filed the route as year-round from May 6, 2027, with flight AC1300 departing Toronto at 6:15 p.m. and arriving Guatemala City at 9:15 p.m. Return service AC1301 departs Guatemala City at 9:30 a.m. and arrives Toronto at 4:15 p.m. on the same day.
The Toronto route supplements Air Canada's existing Montreal–Guatemala City service, which launched in October 2025. With both Canadian gateways operating from December 2026, Guatemala City will receive two weekly nonstop connections from Canada. Air Canada is the only carrier offering nonstop service on either route. The airline describes Guatemala as a destination known for its highland climate, colonial architecture, and Mayan heritage sites.
The route was announced September 3, 2026, as part of Air Canada's summer 2027 expansion. Tickets are on sale at aircanada.com (Upgraded Points).
