Hawaiian Airlines will launch three-times-weekly nonstop service between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and Faa'a International Airport (PPT) in Papeete, Tahiti, beginning June 11, 2027. The service uses Airbus A330-200 aircraft and operates year-round on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Westbound departures leave Seattle at 23:55 local, arriving Papeete at 07:20 the following morning; eastbound flights depart Papeete at 17:00, landing Seattle at 06:00, per the official press release.
The route will be the only nonstop connection between Seattle and Tahiti. The combined Alaska–Hawaiian network will also uniquely offer same-day connections from Papeete to Bora Bora and Moorea, allowing travellers to reach those islands without an overnight stop in the Tahitian capital. Hawaiian has served the Honolulu–Papeete route since 1987; that service will continue alongside the new Seattle–Papeete operation.
The Papeete announcement was made simultaneously with the Seattle–Osaka route on October 20, 2026, as part of Alaska Air Group's "Alaska Accelerate" expansion strategy. Hawaii News Now confirmed the A330 aircraft and launch date. Introductory round-trip fares from Seattle start at $999, available through October 26. Both routes remain subject to government approval.
