Air Canada announced on September 3, 2026 that it will launch seasonal nonstop service between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (NCE) beginning June 16, 2027.

Flights will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays through October 23, 2027. Unlike Air Canada's other two new Toronto European routes — Oslo and Shannon, both operated by Airbus A321XLR — the Toronto–Nice service will use the widebody Airbus A330-300, a choice that reflects expectations of higher passenger volumes on the French Riviera corridor.

Nice is the fifth largest city in France and a gateway to the Alpes-Maritimes, Monaco and Cannes. The route targets both leisure travelers from Ontario and the broader Air Canada connecting network across North America.

The Nice launch is one of three new European destinations Air Canada is adding from Toronto Pearson for summer 2027 as part of what the airline calls the most extensive intercontinental expansion in its history. Two additional routes are being launched from its Montreal hub — Basel and Dubrovnik — and Vancouver gains year-round service to Guangzhou.

"The airline's new service to Oslo, Shannon and Nice, along with enhanced connectivity to other key international destinations, strengthen vital links to global markets," said Deborah Flint, President and CEO of Toronto Pearson.
