Air Canada announced on September 3, 2026 that it will launch seasonal nonstop service between Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) and Dubrovnik Airport (DBV) in Croatia beginning May 11, 2027.
The route will operate three times weekly on Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft through October 23, 2027. Dubrovnik is one of the Adriatic's most visited coastal destinations and a well-established European leisure market with strong demand from North American travelers.
The Montreal–Dubrovnik service is one of two new routes Air Canada is adding from its Montreal hub for summer 2027, alongside Montreal–Basel, Switzerland. Both new Montreal routes expand the hub's European reach beyond its established transatlantic corridors.
"Summer 2027 marks the most extensive intercontinental expansion in Air Canada's history, cementing our position as the second largest North American carrier by global destinations served," said Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Air Canada. "From the expansive trade hub in the Pearl River Delta to the relaxing Adriatic coastline, each of our five new destinations and many schedule enhancements support commerce and tourism and create exciting new opportunities for people to explore the world."
The September 3 announcement added five new international destinations and seven new routes across Asia, Europe and Latin America, constituting what Air Canada describes as the largest intercontinental expansion in its history.
