Air Canada announced on September 3, 2026 that it will launch nonstop seasonal service between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Oslo Gardermoen Airport (OSL) beginning June 2, 2027.
Flights will operate four times weekly. The outbound leg (AC940) departs Toronto on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday; the return (AC941) operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The service is scheduled to run through October 10, 2027. Air Canada will use Airbus A321XLR aircraft on the route — the same narrowbody long-range type it is deploying across several new European markets to make thinner-demand corridors economical.
Air Canada says Toronto–Oslo will be the only nonstop link between North America and Norway, a market with no prior scheduled narrowbody transatlantic competition at this range.
"Summer 2027 marks the most extensive intercontinental expansion in Air Canada's history, cementing our position as the second largest North American carrier by global destinations served," said Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Air Canada. "Each of our five new destinations and many schedule enhancements support commerce and tourism and create exciting new opportunities for people to explore the world."
The Oslo launch is one of three new European destinations Air Canada is adding from Toronto for summer 2027, alongside Shannon, Ireland, and Nice, France. The airline is also expecting Boeing 787-10 aircraft at the Toronto hub by year-end, broadening capacity for long-haul growth.
