Wizz Air will introduce a new nonstop route between Vilnius International Airport (VNO) and Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) from October 26, 2026, as part of the carrier's 2026/27 winter timetable. Flights will operate three times weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with fares starting from EUR29.99.
The announcement was made simultaneously by Berlin Brandenburg Airport on July 13 and by Lithuanian Airports via a press release cited by Delfi. Wizz Air Corporate Communications Manager Salvatore Gabriele Imperiale said the route "reflects our commitment to strengthening connectivity from Vilnius while offering affordable and convenient travel options across Europe."
Vilnius's UNESCO-listed old town, growing technology sector and position as an emerging Baltic business hub are cited by the airport as key demand drivers for leisure and corporate travellers alike. The route will compete on the corridor with Ryanair, which connects the two cities via connections.
The Vilnius launch adds to a wave of Wizz Air expansion at BER in 2026. New summer routes to Bratislava, Tuzla, Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara are already operating, and Sofia will join from September 20 with four weekly flights. The airline currently offers 26 routes from Lithuania to 19 countries, according to Aviation Week, and has grown total capacity to 92.1 million seats in 2026, up 25% year on year per Cirium data cited by Simple Flying.
Wizz Air announced separate winter additions from Moldova in the same week, including new 4x-weekly Chisinau services to Alicante and London Gatwick from October 25.
