Wizz Air will launch daily nonstop service between Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) and Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) from December 14, 2026. The route will be operated with Airbus A321neo aircraft configured for 239 seats, per the Berlin Brandenburg Airport announcement published July 30, 2026.

Malpensa (MXP) is Milan's primary international airport, handling the majority of intercontinental and European traffic for the Lombardy region. Milan also has Linate Airport (LIN, mainly domestic) and Bergamo Airport (BGY, primarily low-cost), making the specific airport designation relevant for travelers. Wizz Air's choice of Malpensa aligns with its strategy of targeting large-city markets with high-capacity narrowbodies.

Milan was already Wizz Air's only Italian destination from Berlin prior to this announcement. Aviation Week covered the route in its August 5 rolling updates, describing it as a complement to Wizz Air's growing Italian network. The carrier is also expanding from a new Palermo base simultaneously, adding Tel Aviv, Sharm El Sheikh, Barcelona, Prague, Marrakech, Dortmund, and Tirana from Sicily.

Berlin Brandenburg Airport confirmed Wizz Air will add this as its latest addition from the German capital, noting strong growth in Italy as a key market. The Wikipedia entry for Berlin Brandenburg Airport independently lists the route as beginning December 14, 2026, citing the airport's own announcement.
