Malpensa (MXP) is Milan's primary international airport, handling the majority of intercontinental and European traffic for the Lombardy region. Wizz Air's choice of Malpensa aligns with its strategy of targeting large-city markets with high-capacity narrowbodies.
Milan was already Wizz Air's only Italian destination from Berlin prior to this announcement.
