STARLUX Airlines will launch nonstop service between Taichung International Airport (RMQ) and Nagoya's Chubu Centrair International Airport (NGO) on October 25, 2026. The airline opened ticket sales on August 13, 2026, with flights to operate four times weekly using Airbus A321neo aircraft, according to Focus Taiwan and the STARLUX official announcement.

The frequency schedule will scale up rapidly after launch. The initial four-times-weekly pattern (October 25, 26, 28 and 30) increases to daily service from November 3 before settling back to three times weekly from December 1, according to schedule data published by AeroRoutes. Eastbound flight JX320 departs Taichung at 07:05 and arrives in Nagoya at 10:40; westbound flight JX321 departs Nagoya at 11:40 and arrives in Taichung at 14:20.

The Taichung–Nagoya route will become STARLUX's 12th international destination served from Taichung, further building out the carrier's Japan network from central Taiwan, the airline said. STARLUX CEO Glenn Chai described Nagoya as a gateway to central Japan, including UNESCO World Heritage site Shirakawa-go, the city of Kanazawa, and popular visitor attractions such as Legoland and Ghibli Park. The region is also known for hitsumabushi eel cuisine.

STARLUX already operates between Taipei and Nagoya, a service launched in December 2023. The new Taichung departure eliminates the need for passengers from central Taiwan to transit Taipei to reach Nagoya, according to Taiwan News.
