Wizz Air launched scheduled seasonal service between M. R. Štefánik Airport Bratislava (BTS) and Podgorica Airport (TGD), the capital of Montenegro, on 21 May 2026. The route operates three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays through 24 October 2026, with one-way fares starting from €19.99 (Bratislava Airport).
Wizz Air operates Airbus A321neo aircraft on the route. Corporate Communications Manager Vera Jardan highlighted that Podgorica sits approximately 1.5 hours by car from Adriatic coastal resorts including Kotor, Budva, and Sveti Stefan, making the three-weekly schedule well-suited for long-weekend travel. The route represents Wizz Air's 16th new service from Bratislava in 2026 alone (Slovak Spectator).
The launch was covered in Aviation Week's Routes 360 weekly summary for the week of 25 May 2026 (Aviation Week). Separately, Wizz Air has established its own base in Podgorica with 14 new European routes — positioning Montenegro as a bilateral hub for the carrier. The BTS–TGD link adds a further cross-network connection between two of Wizz Air's fastest-growing Central and Southeast European stations.
