Delta Air Lines will launch daily nonstop service between Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) and Monterey Regional Airport (MRY) beginning December 19, 2026, operated by SkyWest Airlines under the Delta Connection brand using Embraer E175 aircraft, according to Delta's official press release.
The Salt Lake City route launches on the same day as Delta's new twice-daily Los Angeles (LAX) to Monterey service. Together, the two additions give Monterey Regional Airport nonstop links to two major Delta hubs simultaneously, opening connections to Delta's broad domestic and international network through both gateways, as reported by Business Travel News.
Monterey Regional Airport (MRY) serves the Monterey Peninsula, Carmel-by-the-Sea, and Big Sur on California's Central Coast. The area is scheduled to host the 2027 US Open golf championship at Pebble Beach, which Delta cited as part of the rationale for the December launch timing in its press release.
