SkyWest Airlines, operating as Delta Connection, began flying daily between Canyonlands Regional Airport (CNY) in Moab, Utah, and Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) on October 1, 2026. The seasonal service, which runs through Thanksgiving before pausing for winter, is set to resume in March 2027. Flights operate daily on 50-seat Bombardier CRJ550 aircraft configured with Delta First, Delta Comfort and Delta Main seating.
The official press release from Moab's tourism office gives the inaugural Salt Lake City departure at 3:40 p.m., arriving Moab at 4:40 p.m., with the return leaving CNY at 5:36 p.m. and reaching SLC at 6:40 p.m.
The Moab–Salt Lake City route was absent since early 2023, when Contour Airlines replaced earlier SkyWest service and added Phoenix instead. The new Essential Air Service contract, a four-year federal agreement awarded in June 2026, restores Salt Lake connectivity that residents cited as essential for medical care and university access, according to Moab Sun News.
Because the flights operate under the Delta brand, passengers earn SkyMiles from Moab to their final destination and have access to Delta's full rebooking system in the event of disruptions — an improvement over the previous Contour interline arrangement.
Aviation Week confirmed the October 1 Delta Connection launch in its weekly route updates.
