Delta Air Lines announced on October 1, 2026, that it will launch nonstop service between Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) and Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (FLG) in Arizona beginning June 7, 2027. The year-round service will operate twice daily, flown by SkyWest Airlines as Delta Connection on a Bombardier CRJ-550 configured with 10 first class, 20 Delta Comfort and 20 economy seats.
Flagstaff Pulliam is the closest commercial airport to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon — approximately 90 minutes by road — and sits about 50 minutes from Sedona, according to Delta's announcement. Until now, commercial service at FLG was limited to American Airlines flights to Phoenix and Dallas-Fort Worth.
The route is supported by more than $1.3 million in incentives, including an $800,000 federal grant, to guarantee Delta minimum revenue on the new service, per AZFamily reporting. Flagstaff Pulliam Airport handled approximately 82,000 enplaned passengers last year, a 5% year-over-year increase.
The Salt Lake City–Flagstaff route is Delta's latest feeder addition at SLC, joining recently announced nonstop services to Santa Rosa/Sonoma County (launching October 6, 2026) and Monterey (December 19, 2026). Delta operates up to 270 peak-day departures from SLC, including widebody transatlantic service to Amsterdam, London, Paris and Seoul.
Business Travel News confirmed the June 7, 2027 launch date and twice-daily CRJ-550 operation in its October 2026 route updates.
