Delta Air Lines will launch four-times-weekly nonstop service between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) starting May 7, 2027. The seasonal route operates through October 29, 2027, using an Airbus A330-300 configured with Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort and Main Cabin seating.
Venice becomes Delta's 13th unique long-haul destination from Boston during the peak summer season and its 12th European destination from the hub, according to Delta's official announcement. The route makes Boston Delta's third U.S. gateway to Venice, offering connections to nearly 20 domestic destinations for inbound travellers arriving from Italy. Boston's Milan service will also increase to daily frequency in 2027, further strengthening Delta's Italy coverage from the northeast hub.
The launch is part of a broader summer 2027 European expansion announced alongside three-times-weekly Detroit-Athens nonstop flights from June 8 and a previously confirmed daily Austin-Paris service beginning March 27. Delta vice president of international network planning Jeff Arinder described the additions as giving customers more flexibility and choice for spring and fall European travel, according to Travel Agent Central. The Points Guy noted Delta's summer 2027 European strategy focuses on widebody aircraft and tried-and-tested leisure markets rather than the narrowbody, off-the-beaten-path approach taken by competitors.
