Air Transat launched its inaugural service between Ottawa International Airport (YOW) and London Gatwick Airport (LGW) on May 15, 2026, opening the first-ever nonstop transatlantic link between Canada's capital and Gatwick. The seasonal service operates three times weekly on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays using an Airbus A321LR, running through October 23, 2026.
Flight TS382 departs London Gatwick at 09:40, arriving in Ottawa at 12:40 local time. The return, TS383, departs Ottawa at 19:40, landing at Gatwick at 07:55 the following morning. Total block time is approximately seven hours and 15 minutes.
Chief revenue officer Sebastian Ponce called the route a "meaningful addition" for the Ottawa–Gatineau region and noted that combined with partner Porter Airlines' onward connections from Ottawa, the route positions the Canadian capital as a genuine gateway to Europe. No other airline currently serves Ottawa–London Gatwick nonstop; Air Canada operates on the Ottawa–London Heathrow pairing.
Joel Tkach, VP of business development at the Ottawa International Airport Authority, called it the airport's third transatlantic service and cited growing international travel demand from the region. Air Transat offers both Economy and Club Class cabins on the A321LR, with connections available into Gatwick's broader short-haul and long-haul European network of approximately 230 destinations.
The Ottawa route is part of a broader Air Transat summer 2026 expansion that also includes exclusive Quebec City–Marseille weekly service.
