Riyadh Air opened reservations on August 6, 2026 for new nonstop service between King Khalid International Airport (RUH) in Riyadh and Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) in Bangkok. The four-weekly service launches September 2, 2026, operated with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft configured with 28 business, 39 premium economy, and 223 economy seats.
Outbound flights depart Riyadh at 22:15 local time and arrive in Bangkok at 09:35 the following morning. Return services leave Bangkok at 16:55, landing in Riyadh at 20:15, for a flight time of approximately seven hours and 20 minutes each way, per ConnectingTravel. Economy fares at launch range from approximately SAR 1,500 to SAR 2,500 (US$400 to US$665); business class from SAR 5,000 to over SAR 6,000 (US$1,330 to US$1,600+).
Bangkok is Riyadh Air's first destination in Thailand and the latest step in its rapid Southeast Asian expansion. The airline is also launching Islamabad (August 14), Lahore (August 18), and Manila (September 9) in the same burst of network growth. Simple Flying noted that Riyadh Air has timed Bangkok and Manila departures to feed passengers onto onward connections toward Europe via its Riyadh hub.
Saudia also operates Riyadh-Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, per Aviation Week. Riyadh Air's long-term target is to serve more than 100 international destinations by 2030, aligned with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 strategy.
