Riyadh Air will launch three-weekly nonstop flights between Riyadh King Khalid International Airport (RUH) and Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) on November 16, 2026, with tickets now on sale.
Flights operate Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from Riyadh, departing at 22:50 and arriving at 12:00 the following day in Jakarta. Returns operate Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, departing Jakarta at 15:00 and arriving in Riyadh at 20:15. The service uses Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft equipped with Business Elite, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins, according to Economy Class and Beyond.
Jakarta becomes Riyadh Air's 16th destination available for booking. The route introduces a direct capital-to-capital link beyond the existing nonstop Jakarta to Jeddah services operated by Garuda Indonesia and Saudia, as noted by Wego.
Riyadh Air cited strong bilateral trade between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia as a driver for the route. Total bilateral trade stood at $6.6 billion in 2025 and reached $2.6 billion in the first half of 2026, per the Saudi Press Agency. The airline also cited religious travel demand from Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim-majority nation, traveling to Saudi Arabia.
The launch forms part of Riyadh Air's stated ambition to serve more than 100 destinations by 2030.
