Porter Airlines will begin service at London International Airport (YXU) in Ontario for the first time in the carrier's history, launching four weekly nonstop flights to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) from November 18, 2026, according to a joint press release from Porter and London International Airport.
Flights operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays using Porter's 132-seat Embraer E195-E2. The E195-E2 is configured without a middle seat in economy and includes complimentary snacks, beer and wine, and free streaming Wi-Fi as standard for all passengers.
The Fort Lauderdale service is the first of four seasonal sun routes Porter will launch from YXU this winter. Orlando follows on November 19, Cancún on December 17 and Montego Bay on December 18. Porter has also committed to establishing a year-round domestic network from London by summer 2027, with routes to be announced. Business Wire via Yahoo Finance confirmed the full schedule.
London International Airport CEO Scott McFadzean called the announcement "the beginning of a new chapter for air service in Southwestern Ontario," noting that residents had long needed to drive 90 minutes or more to Toronto Pearson to access sun destinations.
