Aeromexico will launch daily nonstop service between Mexico City's Benito Juarez International Airport (MEX) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) on January 14, 2027. The route will use a Boeing 737 MAX 8 with 166 seats, according to the joint Aeromexico-Delta press release via Oregon Business.
Flight MEX-FLL departs Mexico City at 09:35 local time and arrives in Fort Lauderdale at 14:05. The return departs FLL at 15:35 and arrives in Mexico City at 18:20. Aeromexico will be the sole nonstop operator on the MEX-FLL route, with no other airline currently offering direct service between the two cities, according to Cirium data cited by The Points Guy.
The service is made possible by the U.S. Department of Transportation lifting restrictions on Aeromexico's U.S. network expansion, as reported by FlightGlobal. Fort Lauderdale joins Orange County (SNA, from January 11) and Portland (PDX, from January 21) as part of a three-route simultaneous launch.
All three new routes fall under the Aeromexico-Delta immunized Joint Cooperation Agreement, which now covers 27 U.S. destinations. Delta SkyMiles members earn and redeem miles on Aeromexico-operated flights under the pact.
