Porter Airlines will launch twice-weekly nonstop flights between London International Airport (YXU) and Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay (MBJ) beginning December 18, 2026, the airline confirmed in a joint press release with London International Airport.
Flights operate on Mondays and Fridays using Porter's 132-seat Embraer E195-E2. Montego Bay is the fourth and final route in Porter's inaugural winter schedule at YXU, joining Fort Lauderdale (November 18), Orlando (November 19) and Cancún (December 17).
The YXU–MBJ service gives Southwestern Ontario travellers their first direct connection to Jamaica from a regional airport. Previously, passengers from the London area faced a highway drive of 90 minutes or more to reach connecting service at Toronto Pearson International Airport or Windsor-Detroit.
All four routes from YXU use Porter's E195-E2 with the airline's standard amenity bundle: no middle seat, complimentary snacks, beer and wine, and free streaming Wi-Fi. According to Business Wire via Yahoo Finance, Porter's commitment at YXU extends to a planned year-round domestic schedule launching in summer 2027.
TravelPulse Canada confirmed the Montego Bay route as part of the broader four-destination announcement, noting it represents the first time a major Canadian airline has built a scheduled international network from London, Ontario.
