Frontier Airlines will launch nonstop service between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and El Dorado International Airport (BOG) in Bogotá, Colombia, on December 14, 2026, as the second of three new Colombia routes the carrier announced on September 10. The service will operate six times weekly initially before stepping up to daily frequency from March 6, 2027, per the official Frontier press release. All routes remain subject to government approval.
Frontier has not disclosed the specific aircraft type; its fleet consists of Airbus A320-family jets. Introductory one-way fares from $99 were on sale through September 16, 2026, for select travel dates from January 14 to April 5, 2027.
Bogotá is Colombia's capital and largest city, as well as a major business hub. Unlike the Medellín route — where Frontier's only competitor will be Avianca — the Bogotá service faces head-to-head competition from both Avianca and LATAM, each of which already operates nonstop between Orlando and El Dorado, per AeroCorner. Spirit Airlines previously connected the two cities before ceasing operations in May 2026.
Frontier's entry introduces ultra-low-cost pricing to a market previously served only by full-service Latin American carriers, per Upgraded Points. The broader Colombia announcement covers Medellín (December 10, daily) and Cartagena (December 19, weekly).
