The seasonal winter service will be flown on Etihad's Airbus A321LR, the airline's longest-range narrowbody, configured with 160 seats across three cabins: two First Class Suites with fully flat beds, 14 Business Class seats, and 144 Economy seats. Economy passengers will have access to 13.3-inch 4K entertainment screens and high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the flight. Aviation24.be
Through Etihad's Abu Dhabi hub, Gothenburg passengers will reach a range of Asian cities, including Bangkok, Singapore, Bali, Shanghai, Bengaluru, and Colombo with a single connection. Eligible transit passengers can also access Etihad's complimentary Abu Dhabi Stopover program, adding up to two hotel nights mid-journey. TravelMole
Etihad CEO Antonoaldo Neves said the A321LR was specifically suited to Gothenburg's scale, allowing the carrier to open the destination with its full three-class product. Mats Johannesson, CEO of Swedavia Airports, cited West Sweden's extensive commercial ties with Asian markets as key demand drivers. Gothenburg is Etihad's 15th new destination launched in 2026.
