Alaska Airlines launched the first-ever nonstop service between Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) on June 13, 2026, operating the route weekly on Saturdays using the Boeing 737 MAX 8.

The service runs through August 15, 2026, covering approximately 2,940 nautical miles (5,445 km) each way. The maximum scheduled block time of seven hours and 53 minutes makes it Alaska's third-longest narrowbody nonstop and one of the longest domestic 737 MAX flights in the U.S.

Before launch, all passengers between Anchorage and Boston were required to connect at an intermediate hub. According to airline market data cited by Simple Flying, approximately 43,000 round-trip passengers traveled between the two cities in the twelve months through February 2026, averaging more than 100 travelers per day in each direction. Alaska held the largest share of that connecting traffic at around 47%, primarily via Seattle. Delta Air Lines (33%) and United Airlines (14%) also served the market through their own hubs.

The launch expands Alaska's Anchorage network to 17 nonstop destinations in the Lower 48 and Hawaiʻi — the most the airline has ever offered in summer — as confirmed by Alaska's official news release.
