Qatar Airways launched a twice-weekly triangular service connecting Doha (DOH), Bogota (BOG), and Caracas (CCS) on November 4, 2026, becoming the first Gulf carrier to serve both Colombia and Venezuela. Flights depart Hamad International Airport on Wednesdays and Sundays, stop at Bogota El Dorado International Airport (BOG), continue to Caracas Simon Bolivar International Airport (CCS), and then return nonstop to Doha. The service operates with Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, according to Aviation Week.

The launch was originally planned for July 2026 but was postponed after an earthquake struck Venezuela. aviationa2z.com first reported the November 4 launch date in October 2026.

The route represents the first nonstop connection linking the Middle East with both Bogota and Caracas. Qatar Airways designed the schedule to facilitate connections through its Doha hub to markets including Australia, China, Japan, South Korea, Lebanon, and the UAE. The Boeing 777-200LR, with its ultra-long-range capability, is the only aircraft in the airline's fleet suited to the transatlantic distance involved in this routing.

The South America service brings Qatar's total new destinations in 2026 to at least eight, following the introduction of Hail, Alexandria, Port Sudan, Philadelphia, Helsinki, and Tokyo Haneda. Wisevoter confirmed the service as making Qatar Airways the first Gulf carrier to serve Venezuela.
