Qatar Airways Returns to Philadelphia with Daily Flights

Qatar Airways announced on June 10, 2026, the resumption of daily flights between Hamad International Airport in Doha (DOH) and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), effective August 1. Service will use Airbus A350-900 aircraft equipped with the airline's Qsuite business class and Starlink satellite Wi-Fi. Outbound flight QR727 departs Doha at 08:00 and arrives Philadelphia at 15:05; return flight QR728 departs Philadelphia at 21:30 and arrives Doha at 17:00 the following day.

Philadelphia will become Qatar Airways' 14th North American destination, joining Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Montreal, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and Washington D.C.

The reinstatement follows American Airlines' decision not to resume its own Doha–Philadelphia service, which the oneworld partner had previously suspended in March 2026. FlightGlobal reported that American Airlines CCO Nathaniel Pieper, speaking at the IATA AGM in Rio de Janeiro, confirmed American would not return to Doha and would redeploy its freed 787 capacity on a new route instead.

Qatar Airways previously served Philadelphia before dropping the route in 2023. The resumption provides onward U.S. domestic connectivity through oneworld partner American Airlines' Philadelphia hub. The Doha connection links the Pennsylvania market to more than 160 destinations across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East through Hamad International Airport, which has been consistently rated among the world's top hubs.
