Oman's low-cost carrier SalamAir will launch twice-weekly service linking Muscat International Airport (MCT) and Copenhagen Kastrup Airport (CPH) via Baghdad International Airport (BGW) from 14 November 2026, according to ch-aviation and AeroRoutes. The airline operates the Baghdad-Copenhagen sector under fifth-freedom traffic rights, making that leg available for separate purchase by passengers originating in Iraq.
Flights operate as OV337 (MCT 17:20 - BGW 19:20 - CPH 23:55) and OV338 (CPH 00:55 - BGW 08:10 - MCT 12:45) on Airbus A320neo aircraft. One-way Lite fares opened at OMR 130.99 for Muscat-Copenhagen and OMR 99.99 for Baghdad-Copenhagen when ticket sales launched on 8 September.
Steven Allen, Chief Commercial Officer of SalamAir, described Copenhagen as the airline's ninth new destination of 2026: "Operating twice weekly, the service creates an important new connection between Oman, Iraq and Northern Europe, serving demand between Baghdad and Copenhagen while offering travellers more affordable options to and from Oman," per Zawya. Business Traveller confirmed the route details independently.
SalamAir replaces Oman Air, which previously operated the Muscat-Baghdad-Copenhagen fifth-freedom route. The new service is aligned with Oman Vision 2040 objectives around tourism and trade connectivity between Oman, Iraq and Northern Europe.
