Cyprus Airways announced daily, year-round nonstop service between Larnaca International Airport (LCA) and London Stansted Airport (STN) beginning April 23, 2027, Aviation Week reports. Seats are already on sale, with Economy Basic return fares starting from around 423 euros, which includes a 10 kg cabin bag, per AOL. Cyprus Airways operates a fleet of Airbus A320 and A220 aircraft.
The service marks Cyprus Airways' return to UK scheduled flights after more than a decade. The airline last regularly served London in 2015, when a previous state-owned version operated to both Stansted and Heathrow, The Gazette notes.
London Stansted joins an existing Cyprus Airways European network that includes Paris CDG, Milan Malpensa, Athens and Heraklion, as well as Middle Eastern routes to Dubai, Beirut and Tel Aviv, per LinkedIn/Aviation Geeks. The Stansted announcement follows previously disclosed new year-round routes to Munich and Rome Fiumicino.
"By adding London Stansted to our network from April 2027, we are providing our customers with greater choice and flexibility while further strengthening our presence in one of Cyprus' most significant international markets," said Thanos Pascalis, chief executive of Cyprus Airways, per AOL.
