Oman Air commenced four-weekly nonstop service between Muscat International Airport (MCT) and Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) on July 2, 2026, according to the airline's official press release. The service is operated with Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
The Muscat–Singapore sector is among the longest routes operated by the 737 MAX 8 globally. Simple Flying noted that one of Oman Air's five new July routes has a block time of almost eight hours, consistent with the Muscat–Singapore sector. Both aircraft types in Oman Air's narrowbody fleet — the 737-800 and 737 MAX 8 — are identically configured with 12 business class recliners and 150 economy seats, all with personal IFE screens, per Simple Flying.
The Singapore launch is part of Oman Air's largest single-month network expansion, which also added Sochi (July 2), Tashkent (July 3), Dubai–Salalah (July 3), and Muscat–Abu Dhabi (July 9), bringing the airline's global network to 49 destinations, per Aviation24.be. The airline said the expansion aligns with Oman Vision 2040 and its strategy following entry into the oneworld alliance. Singapore becomes Oman Air's first Southeast Asian destination operated as a scheduled year-round service.
