Air Serbia will launch twice-weekly nonstop service between Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG) and Miami International Airport (MIA) on May 20, 2027, flying every Thursday and Sunday with an Airbus A330-200 Simple Flying.
The route spans approximately 5,471 miles (8,805 km), making Miami Air Serbia's longest scheduled destination, ahead of its existing long-haul services to Shanghai and Guangzhou Simple Flying.
Miami becomes Air Serbia's third U.S. destination after New York JFK and Chicago O'Hare, and its fourth in North America following the addition of Toronto in 2026. The airline currently operates four Airbus A330-200s for its long-haul network Aviation24.be.
CEO Jiří Marek confirmed the Miami launch during an interview with Serbian broadcaster RTS on October 19, 2026; tickets went on sale the following day Simple Flying. The Miami service is part of a six-route summer 2027 expansion that also includes new flights to Yerevan, Helsinki (reinstated post-pandemic), Cluj-Napoca, Chișinău and Menorca AeroTime.
The timing is deliberate: Belgrade's Expo 2027 runs from May 15 to August 15, just five days before Miami's inaugural flight, with the event expected to generate around 500,000 additional air passengers through the Serbian capital Simple Flying.
