Air Serbia (ICAO: ASL) is the flag carrier of Serbia, with a history tracing back to 1927 with the founding of Aeroput, making it one of the world's oldest airlines still in operation. After various transformations, the airline was rebranded as Air Serbia in October 2013, following a strategic partnership with Etihad Airways, which initially held a minority stake.
The airline's main operational base and hub is Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG). Air Serbia also operates flights from Niš Constantine the Great Airport and Morava Airport near Kraljevo. Its route network is extensive, covering over 90 destinations across Europe, the Mediterranean, North America, Asia, and Africa. As of November 2025, it serves 3 domestic and 82 international destinations in 34 countries, including long-haul routes to cities like New York, Chicago, Toronto, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.
Air Serbia operates a mixed fleet of Airbus and ATR aircraft, and has recently introduced Embraer E195 and Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The fleet includes Airbus A319s, A320s, A330-200s, ATR 72s (various series), Embraer E-Jets (E175LR, E190, E195), and Boeing 737-800s, some of which are acquired through wet-lease agreements. Air Serbia is not a member of any of the major global airline alliances (Star Alliance, SkyTeam, or Oneworld), preferring to maintain independence and leverage its network through codeshare partnerships. The airline offers Economy and Business classes with various fare types, and its Business Class on long-haul flights features lie-flat seats and lounge access. Notably, Air Serbia also provides a "Sky Au Pairs" nanny service for children in both Economy and Business classes.
