flydubai launched daily nonstop service between Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Bangkok's Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) on July 1, 2026. The inaugural flight was met with a water cannon salute and welcomed by officials from the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Don Mueang Airport, per Gulf News.
The route is operated with Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. Outbound flights depart Dubai at 01:35 and arrive in Bangkok at 11:25 local time; return flights depart Bangkok at 23:50 and arrive in Dubai at 03:25, according to the airline's official press release. Bangkok Don Mueang becomes flydubai's second destination in Thailand alongside Krabi, and the service operates under a codeshare agreement with Emirates, offering passengers seamless connections through Dubai to a wider combined network on a single ticket with through check-in.
"Thailand remains a key destination for both leisure and business travel and our direct service to Don Mueang International Airport introduces a new gateway to the Thai capital," said Sudhir Sreedharan, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at flydubai, per Gulf News. The launch was originally planned for September 2026 before being moved forward to July, as Passport News reported. The Tourism Authority of Thailand said 188,447 visitors from the Middle East arrived in the country between January 1 and June 21, 2026, underlining the demand underpinning the route.
