Icelandair launched its first scheduled service to Poland on September 18, 2026, connecting Keflavik International Airport (KEF) with Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport (GDN). The route operates three times weekly on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, rising to four weekly flights with a Saturday addition between October 25 and March 15, 2027, according to Icelandair Group. The service is currently scheduled to run through May 31, 2027.
Flights are operated by Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, per Gdansk Airport schedule data cited by Travel PR News. The outbound flight departs Keflavik at 7:20 AM and arrives Gdansk at 11:55 AM; the return departs Gdansk at 12:50 PM and lands in Keflavik at 3:50 PM local time.
Icelandair is positioning the route for both leisure and VFR traffic. Iceland hosts a significant Polish expat community, while northward passengers from Poland can connect onward through Keflavik to New York, Chicago, Miami, Toronto, and Vancouver, Aviation Week reports. Gdansk is Icelandair's first Polish destination, representing the airline's full market entry into Poland. "Poland is an important market for us, and this new route further strengthens the ties between our two countries," Icelandair CCO Tomas Ingason said in the carrier's launch statement.
