German airline Condor officially launched scheduled daily service between Frankfurt Airport (FRA) and Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv (TLV) on August 1, 2026. The inaugural flight was welcomed at Ben Gurion Airport with a celebratory ceremony attended by Condor representatives and senior aviation industry executives, per the Condor newsroom.

The route carries deep historical significance for the carrier: Tel Aviv appeared on Condor's very first scheduled flight, a pilgrimage from Frankfurt to the Holy Land on March 29, 1956. The August 2026 relaunch coincides with the airline's 70th anniversary year, according to Aviation Week.

The inaugural flight from Tel Aviv to Frankfurt was fully booked. Approximately 80% of passengers continued on connecting flights to destinations in North America and East Asia, reflecting the hub-feeding function of the route through Condor's Frankfurt base, per the Jerusalem Post.

CEO Peter Gerber said the service is designed both for direct travel between Germany and Israel and to provide passengers arriving in Israel from around the world with convenient onward connections through Frankfurt. Condor serves more than 70 destinations in Europe, Africa, Asia and North America and carries approximately 10 million passengers per year with a fleet of around 60 aircraft.
