Aeromexico will launch daily nonstop service between Mexico City's Benito Juarez International Airport (MEX) and Portland International Airport (PDX) on January 21, 2027, with the first northbound flight departing Portland the following day, January 22. The route operates aboard a Boeing 737 MAX 8 with 166 seats, according to the joint Aeromexico-Delta press release published via Oregon Business.
Flight MEX-PDX departs Mexico City at 16:15 local time and arrives in Portland at 20:00. The return departs PDX at 09:30 and arrives in Mexico City at 17:00. Aeromexico will be the sole carrier on the MEX-PDX route, with no competitor currently offering nonstop service, according to Cirium schedule data cited by The Points Guy.
The Portland route is the longest-delayed of the three simultaneous U.S. additions, starting 10 days after Orange County (SNA, January 11) and one week after Fort Lauderdale (FLL, January 14). All three were announced together following the U.S. DOT lifting network-growth restrictions on Aeromexico, as reported by FlightGlobal.
The three routes collectively expand the Aeromexico-Delta joint venture to 27 U.S. destinations.
