Singapore Airlines will launch daily nonstop service between Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) and the new Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI) on November 23, 2026, making it the airport's first international long-haul carrier. The airline's official press release first announced the route in March 2026.

All flights operate on Airbus A350-900 aircraft in a 303-seat two-class configuration: 40 Business Class seats and 263 Economy seats. Flight SQ261 departs Singapore at 11:30, arriving at Western Sydney at 22:20 local time. The return flight SQ262 departs at 23:55, arriving in Singapore at 05:15 the following morning. The route covers 3,374 nautical miles (6,249 km) each way, with a flight time of approximately 7 hours 50 minutes southbound and 8 hours 20 minutes northbound, according to Simple Flying.

Western Sydney International is a brand-new 24-hour, curfew-free facility located in the Greater Western Sydney region, which is home to over three million residents. It is designed to relieve congestion at Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD). Singapore Airlines already serves SYD with four daily flights, bringing its total Sydney-area frequency to five daily departures. Tickets went on sale March 25, 2026, according to ABC News Australia.
