Starlux Airlines launched its first-ever European route on August 1, 2026, connecting Taipei Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) with Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG). Chairman K.W. Chang piloted the inaugural flight himself, departing Taipei at 00:50 local time and landing in Prague at 09:01 local time, according to AeroTime.

The 9,030-kilometre route operates three times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with scheduled outbound flight JX101 departing Taipei at 00:10 and arriving Prague at 07:50 local time. Return flight JX102 departs Prague at 10:20, landing in Taipei at 05:10 the following morning, per Air Service One. Frequency will increase to four weekly flights from October 1. The route initially operates with Airbus A350-900 aircraft in a four-class, 306-seat configuration; AeroTime reports that the aircraft type will switch to the larger A350-1000 from September 1, offering 350 seats across four cabin classes.

Prague is the first and currently only European destination for Starlux. The airline is the second Taiwanese carrier to serve the Czech capital, competing against China Airlines, which operates up to three A350 weekly flights on the same route. CEO Glenn Chai cited growing semiconductor industry ties between Taiwan and Central Europe, alongside leisure travel demand, as the primary rationale for choosing Prague. Barcelona has been named as Starlux's second planned European destination.

Founded in 2018 and launched commercially in January 2020, Starlux operates 30 Airbus aircraft across markets in Asia and the United States, where it serves Phoenix, Los Angeles, Ontario, Seattle and San Francisco. Prague represents the first step in the carrier's European expansion.
