Ryanair will launch nonstop service between Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) and Rabat-Salé Airport (RBA) on October 25, 2026, the first day of the IATA winter 2026/27 season. Flight FR848 departs Stockholm on the inaugural Sunday service, operating twice weekly aboard Boeing 737 aircraft. The route was announced on September 10, 2026, as part of Ryanair's record winter 2026 schedule for Sweden. The full programme spans 43 routes operated by eight based aircraft — including one additional Boeing 737 newly stationed at Stockholm Arlanda — targeting 4.6 million annual passengers in Sweden, a 16% increase, per the Ryanair corporate press release. The carrier values its total Swedish fleet investment at US$800 million.
The Stockholm–Rabat link extends Ryanair's growing presence at Rabat-Salé, where the airline established a two-aircraft base in April 2026. The new service forms part of Ryanair's broader winter 2026 Morocco programme, which encompasses 156 routes to 14 European countries and 5.3 million seats.
Alongside Stockholm–Rabat, the five new Swedish routes for winter 2026 include Stockholm–Warsaw, Stockholm–Wroclaw, Gothenburg–Budapest, and Malmö–London. Ryanair CEO Eddie Wilson cautioned that planned Swedish airport security fee increases of up to 67% from March 2027 could put future growth at risk if not reversed.
