Dan Air 3Q26 Bucharest Network Expansion
Dan Air adds twice-weekly Bucharest–Tbilisi service from July 4, opening a new direct link between Romania and the Georgian capital as part of its Caucasus push.
Romanian carrier Dan Air will launch twice-weekly nonstop service between Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP) and Tbilisi International Airport (TBS) from July 4, 2026. Flights operate Tuesdays and Saturdays with Airbus A320 aircraft.
The Bucharest–Tbilisi route launches simultaneously with Bucharest–Yerevan on the same date, alongside Bucharest–Amman (from July 1). Together, the three routes represent Dan Air's largest single network expansion since it began scheduled operations in 2021.
Tbilisi is the capital of Georgia, a rapidly growing tourism destination that has attracted increasing direct air connectivity from Eastern and Central European carriers. The city is known for its historic old town, distinctive architecture, Georgian cuisine, and wine heritage, drawing both leisure and diaspora travellers.
AeroRoutes published the launch data on May 19, 2026. Travel and Tour World, Flight Directors, and The Romania Journal each independently reported the same route details—Amman, Tbilisi, and Yerevan from July 2026—confirming the schedule.
Dan Air has applied for further traffic rights to Baghdad, Baku, Beirut, and Cairo as part of a longer-term regional strategy. All three new routes operate on Airbus A320 narrowbody aircraft.
