DAN AIR Expands Network with Four New Routes from Bucharest Starting July 2026

Romania's private carrier DAN AIR will launch three-times-weekly nonstop service between Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP) and Amman Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) from 1 July 2026. Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays using Airbus A320 aircraft.

The Amman route is one of four new destinations announced simultaneously by DAN AIR as part of its most significant network expansion to date. Alongside Amman, the airline will also launch service to Yerevan, Armenia, and Tbilisi, Georgia from the same date (both 2x weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays), and will formalize its Aleppo, Syria, service as a permanent scheduled route — making DAN AIR the only EU carrier operating to two Syrian cities simultaneously.

The expansion targets what CEO Matt Ian David describes as 'underserved markets with strong and growing demand,' particularly diaspora connectivity between Romania and communities in the Middle East. DAN AIR's growth trajectory supports the ambition: the airline carried more than 272,000 passengers in 2025, up over 30% year-on-year, at a 98% on-time performance rate.

The carrier has also applied for traffic rights to Baghdad, Baku, Beirut, and Cairo as the next phase of its regional push, signaling a broader strategic intent in the Middle East and Caucasus corridors. Tickets for the new routes are available at danair.ro from 1 July 2026.
