Shenzhen Airlines will launch a new nonstop route between Nanning Wuxu International Airport (NNG) in Guangxi and Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) from July 31, 2026, according to schedule data published by AeroRoutes on July 14.
The Star Alliance member will operate the route three times weekly using a Boeing 737-800. Flight ZH8041 departs Nanning at 4:05 PM and arrives in Hong Kong at 5:55 PM, giving a scheduled block time of one hour and fifty minutes. The return service, ZH8042, leaves Hong Kong at 6:55 PM and lands in Nanning at 8:40 PM. Booking platforms including Skyscanner and Trip.com list the route as available for sale from the July 31 start date, with fares from approximately US$55 one-way.
Nanning is the capital of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, which borders Vietnam and has been expanding its role as a trade hub under China's Belt and Road framework. The new route gives Nanning travellers a Star Alliance connection and eases access to Hong Kong's onward intercontinental network without routing through Shenzhen or Guangzhou.
Shenzhen Airlines operates primarily domestic routes within China but has maintained a small portfolio of international and cross-border services, including long-haul flights to Barcelona and London Heathrow operated with the Airbus A330-300. The Nanning to Hong Kong service is a short-haul regional addition consistent with the carrier's incremental international expansion strategy.
