Vietnam Airlines launches nonstop service between Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi (HAN) and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad (AMD) on 3 November 2026. Flights operate four times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays using an Airbus A321, per Breaking Travel News.
Outbound service departs Hanoi at 17:35 and arrives Ahmedabad at 21:30 local time; the return departs Ahmedabad at 22:45 and arrives in Hanoi at 04:35 the following morning, per Economic Times.
Ahmedabad becomes Vietnam Airlines' fifth destination in India, joining Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The route is the carrier's seventh Vietnam–India connection and brings its total India capacity to 25 weekly round trips.
The expansion responds to sustained bilateral travel growth. Vietnam welcomed more than 670,000 Indian visitors in the first nine months of 2026, a 33% year-on-year increase, making India the country's eighth-largest international visitor market, per RoutesOnline / Airports Corporation of Vietnam. Ahmedabad is Gujarat's commercial capital and a major hub for trade and manufacturing.
