Riyadh Air launched three-weekly nonstop service between King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh (RUH) and Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore (LHE) on August 18, 2026. Flights operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, with outbound service departing Riyadh at 13:40 and arriving Lahore at 19:50. The return flight departs Lahore at 21:20 and arrives Riyadh at midnight, per AeroRoutes.
ConnectingTravel confirmed the Lahore launch and reported round-trip fares starting from approximately SAR 1,400 (around US$370). Note: Aviation Week listed the start date as August 16; AeroRoutes and ConnectingTravel both record August 18.
Lahore is Riyadh Air's second Pakistani destination, complementing the daily Islamabad service that began August 14. The lower frequency on Lahore compared to Islamabad reflects the relative sizes of the two markets for Saudi-Pakistan traffic. Together, the two routes target Pakistan's large expatriate and labor community in Saudi Arabia, alongside business and VFR passengers. Aviation Week noted that Riyadh Air describes the Pakistan routes as designed for business, leisure, labor and VFR travel.
The Lahore launch completes a four-destination South Asian campaign for Riyadh Air in August 2026, following Mumbai (August 4), Dhaka (August 7) and Islamabad (August 14), bringing the carrier's total network to nine destinations.
