Riyadh Air launched daily nonstop service between King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh (RUH) and Islamabad International Airport (ISB) on August 14, 2026. The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner service operates twice daily: one departure from Riyadh at 13:45 arriving Islamabad at 20:00, and a second at 20:10 arriving at 02:25 the following day, per AeroRoutes.
ConnectingTravel confirmed the daily schedule and reported that return fares start from approximately SAR 1,300 (around US$345). The return flights from Islamabad depart at 04:25 and 21:30, arriving Riyadh at 06:50 and midnight respectively, per AeroRoutes schedule data.
Islamabad is the first of two Pakistani cities Riyadh Air is launching in August 2026, with Lahore following on August 18. Aviation Week reported that Riyadh Air describes the Pakistan routes as targeting business, leisure, labor and VFR (visiting friends and relatives) traffic. Pakistan has one of the largest diaspora communities working in Saudi Arabia, making the Riyadh-Islamabad corridor a commercially significant market.
The Islamabad and Lahore launches, combined with Mumbai and Dhaka services earlier in August, bring Riyadh Air's total network to nine destinations. The airline, which began commercial operations in June 2026, is targeting 22 destinations by March 2027.
