Royal Jordanian resumed nonstop service between Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) in Amman and Vienna International Airport (VIE) on June 24, 2026, reviving a route last operated in 2020 before pandemic disruptions reshaped the airline's European network (AeroRoutes).

The carrier flies four times weekly — on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays — with its Airbus A321neo, equipped with in-flight Wi-Fi and seatback entertainment. Royal Jordanian is the sole nonstop operator on the Amman–Vienna city pair (TradeArabia).

CEO Samer Majali framed the launch as a strategic step: "The new route represents a qualitative addition to Royal Jordanian's network, particularly as the Austrian capital is considered a major European hub that provides access to a wide range of destinations" (ZAWYA via TradingView). For Vienna-originating travelers, Amman functions as a one-stop gateway into Royal Jordanian's regional network covering the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.

The Vienna restoration is part of Royal Jordanian's broader 2026 European expansion, which has also included the launch of a new Amman–Dallas/Fort Worth route. Austria's position as a gateway into Central and Eastern Europe extends the airline's commercial reach well beyond the Austrian capital (Wego Travel Blog), serving both business traffic and Jordan's growing inbound tourism ambitions.
